The Hog N' Dog Guide Services offers professional, guided Wild Boar Hunts in Lockwood, King City and other communities of Monterey County. California’s wild pigs are descendants of the European wild boar, introduced to Monterey County, California in the 1920s; and domestic swine, imported by European settlers in the 1700s. Domestic swine foraged freely, eventually becoming semi-wild, or “feral.” Over time, they interbred with the European boar. Today’s California wild pig is actually a wild boar/feral pig hybrid.

When you come wild boar hunting with us you will be hunting on 20,000 plus acres of private ranches. We will hunt by foot and 4x4 truck, using a spot-and-stalk method of hunting. The terrain will include brushy canyons, rolling grain fields, open flats and oak hillsides. We have an abundance of wild boars running between multiple ranches you will hunt on. This is why Monterey County offers the largest harvest of boar in the state.

We cater our hunts to the hunters we are serving. If you have hunting limitations, please let us know before the hunt so we can accommodate you. To have the best odds we recommend groups no larger than 3 hunters and to plan for 2 day hunts. This allows for high success rates--which is our ultimate goal. We currently have a 80-95% success rate.  Larger groups can be accommodated by request.
